Last month, BET premiered its new scripted series TALES which is spearheaded by Murder Inc. founder Irv Gotti in collaboration with 300 Ent. TALES dives into classic and current Hip-Hop songs and provide eye-catching narratives based on the tracks’ lyrics.
TALES airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. PST on BET and fans can catch episodes based on the following songs (in no particular order):
N.W.A’s “Fuck Tha Police”
The Notorious B.I.G.’s “I Got A Story to Tell”
Meek Mill’s “Cold Hearted”
Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”
Slick Rick’s “Children’s Story”
The Roots’ “You Got Me”

Method Man’s “All I Need”
Irv Gotti has also released a “playlist” of the same name which is his first real foray into relaunching Murder Inc. Records. After teasing it a for a couple of years, Gotti formally announced the relaunch of the famed New York based label in May this year. The project features songs from some of the new artists that Murder Inc/300 Ent. are working with. But there is one surprise inclusion — a collaboration from erstwhile Murder Inc. artists Blackchild and Ja Rule called ‘Killer’. It sounds pretty good too.
