About ten days ago, popular Soundcloud rapper Lil Peep passed away after a suspected overdose from drugs and since then, many of his peers have paid their respects. Post Malone is one of the biggest artists who shared his condolences on social media: “In the short time that i knew you, you were a great friend to me and a great person. your music changed the world and it’ll never be the same. i love you bud. forever.”
Post and Peep were often seen in photos together this year from which it could be assumed that the two were pretty close. The ‘Rockstar’ hitmaker has now gone ahead and got a big tattoo of Lil Peep’s face on his left arm. A video of him getting the ink done has surfaced online which you can watch below.
“I f*cking love that kid, it sucks ass… he was the f*cking shit. I only knew him for a little bit. But more than [the] genuine good real true person that he was, his music was going to change the culture of everything. Already shifting culture in such a short period of time. He’s an incredible, talented dude and good guy,’ commented Post in a recent interview with H3 podcast.
A full postmortem exam regarding Peep’s death will likely take a few more weeks to finalize according to authorities.
