After releasing the Digital Druglord project earlier this year which spawned the hit song ‘Do Re Mi‘, rapper-singer Blackbear has followed it up tonight with a new album titled cybersex.
A quick look at the L.A. based artist’s album tracklist will tell you that most of his musical growing up happened in the early 2000s as you can spot guest appearances from the likes of Cam’ron, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Ne-Yo, Paul Wall and T-Pain. Other features also include Tinashe (a duet called ‘Up In This’) and Riff Raff.
Blackbear has a long history of writing hit records for other artists (he co-wrote Justin Bieber’s ‘Boyfriend’) but on this album, he does a bit of both singing and rapping. You will also be able to hear multiple other influences like Rock and Punk. cybersex is now available or streaming on all digital services.
