After dropping hints several times over the past couple of months, Big Sean and Metro Boomin have formally announced the release of a joint album titled Double or Nothing.
In an interview with Billboard, Big Sean and the super producer spoke on the collaboration and why they decided to team up for a whole album. Metro Boomin was behind Big Sean’s hit ‘Bounce Back’ from his I Decided album earlier this year which ended up being his highest charting solo single on the Billboard Hot 100 (number 6).
“I was born in ’93,” says Metro, “and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two. They sounded more cohesive — better as a whole.” Big Sean added: “That’s one of the things me and Metro are like-minded on. Maybe it has something to do with us being from the Midwest. We have that goal of wanting to succeed not just for ourselves, but for everybody who’s listening.”

The release date for the album has still not been revealed but judging from Sean’s tweets, it can be guessed that it should arrive before 2017 is over. In case you missed it, listen to the first single off the album, ‘Pull Up N Wreck’ featuring 21 Savage here.
