Tay-K, the Arlington, Texas based rapper behind the viral hit ‘The Race‘ has had all sorts of legal trouble. He was arrested in connection to multiple murder charges in June and is currently in jail.
Tay-K, born Tamar McIntyre, was arrested in June after he removed his ankle monitor and fled Texas without permission. He created his viral hit on the day he made his escape. On the song, he rapped “F*ck a beat, I was tryna beat a case/ But I ain’t beat that case, bitch I did the race.” The controversial song has peaked at number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tay-K has now re-released his SantanaWorld project with a few additional songs, including a remix of ‘The Race’ featuring Atlanta rappers 21 Savage and Young Nudy. Stream it below.
