Common, Robert Glasper & Karriem Riggins Form Super Group ‘August Greene’; Drop 1st Single Feat. Brandy

Here’s a surprise move from three musicians. Rapper Common, pianist Robert Glasper and drummer Karriem Riggins have formed a new band called August Greene. This has not happened outta nowhere though. Back in 2016, Common had revealed that he was working on his new album with Robert Glasper but we had no idea he was about to make a super group.

The trio has also unveiled their first single,’Optimistic’ which is a cover of Sounds of Blackness’ 1991 song of the same name. It features some excellent guest vocals from Brandy. Stream it below via SoundCloud.
