Teyana Taylor released her debut album VII in 2014 via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam but it failed on the commercial front, selling just 16k copies in the first week.
But since then, things have changed a lot for the singer-actor-model. Teyana achieved a different kind of popularity after her staring role in Kanye West’s music video for ‘Fade’. She’s now working on her sophomore album and in an interview with Oyster mag, Mrs. Shumpert reveals that it is done and scheduled to release sometime this year.
“The album is actually done, just waiting on some minor tweaks and whatever last minute switches or edits and a green light from Kanye and should be good to go,” said the singer. She further goes on to say that it is executive produced by Kanye West. “You guys will just have to wait and see what magic he’s created!”
