The Migos had a great 2017 and were hopeful for picking up a GRAMMY or two. So hopeful that they think the academy “cheated” them by not giving them a single one at this year’s awards show.
Migos’ CULTURE album was up for “Best Rap Album” while their smash hit ‘Bad & Boujee’ was nominated for “Best Rap Performance” but the group feel they were snubbed very badly. “They cheated us,” said Offset when NME asked how their experience was at the ceremony. “There was nothing bigger than the f**king ‘Culture’ album this whole last year!” added Quavo. “They’re scared to handle the three-headed monster… Ooh! [But] we’ll be back next year. “WE’LL BE F**KING BACK NEXT YEAR.” Both the awards were grabbed by Kendrick Lamar.
Later in the interview, NME also asked them what fans should expect from the Atlanta trio in the future and if there will be a CULTURE III. Migos said: “The culture goes forever and we will never RIP the culture. You’re trying to figure out if the culture will live on through one, two, three, four, five, six – that we don’t know, we will make you WAIT ON IT. But the culture will not die, the culture will live forever.”
