Rap fans were super excited when Royce 5’9″ and J. Cole were spotted together shooting a music video in January. There was also a short video clip posted by producer S1 which showed the two filming a video.
The title was not known yet and no J. Cole collaboration ended up on the tracklist to PRhyme 2, Royce’s upcoming collaboration album with DJ Premier which some fans thought was a sign that the song was lost in the mix somewhere. Well, the collaboration was not scrapped after all. Today, the Detroit rapper has released his new single called ‘Boblo Boat’ featuring J. Cole.
The track has appeared on Spotify in some international markets and will be slowly rolling out across the world until it hits the U.S. stores and streaming services at midnight. There is official word on where the song will live but we are guessing it’s the first single off Nickel Nine’s forthcoming solo album, The Book of Ryan.
