Christina Aguilera has been teasing new music for a few weeks now. Today, she ends the suspense by debuting a brand new single ‘Accelerate’ with guest appearances from Ty Dolla Sign and 2 Chainz. It’s the first single off her forthcoming new album Liberation.
“I love you. I know you’ve been waiting,” Aguilera said in a video on social media Wednesday, one of many she’s been putting out in anticipation of the new music. “It needed to be perfect for you. For me. I’m ready. It’s time. I’m finally feeling liberated.”
There were speculations about what direction the singer will take on her first album in 6 years but after listening to this song and watching the sexy video, it’s pretty clear where she is heading. Ty Dolla and 2 Chainz do not make an appearance in the video for the unconventional song, which you can watch below. The song is produced by none other than Kanye West. The new album Liberation will hit stores June 15th.
