Swizz Beatz and Timbaland announced in July last year that they will be taking part in a beat battle sometime in the future, similar to the one that took place between Swizz and Just Blaze earlier in February, which was very well received by Hip-Hop enthusiasts. Swizz challenged Timbo and the latter accepted it.
But since then, the two veteran producers have been delaying the much awaited show down. However, it looks like they planned to save it for an epic night like the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert. Swizz was on the bill to perform at the event tonight (June 10) at Metlife stadium in New Jersey where he brought out Timbaland as the special guest for the beat battle.
The two legendary producers went through some of their classic and iconic hits over the last two decades to battle each other. Timbaland tried his best to match Swizz but the New York producer had too many stadium anthems to counter. Watch the epic battle go down, below (via MWP).
