As expected and projected by many, Drake’s song ‘In My Feelings’ has hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This marks the third number 1 single from Drizzy’s latest album Scorpion, following the smashes ‘God’s Plan’ and ‘Nice For What. Drake’s Scorpion is the first album to produce three Hot 100 #1 singles since Justin Bieber’s Purpose in 2015. ‘In My Feelings’ was one of the top rated songs when the set was released on June 29th but its rise has surely been given a boost by the #InMyFeelings dance challenge that is rampant on social media at the moment.
The dance challenge was originally sparked by Instagrammer Shiggy and soon after, celebrities like Kevin Hart, Ciara, and even Will Smith joined in, thereby making it go viral all over the internet. With ‘In My Feelings’ topping the chart, Drake joins Justin Bieber, Usher and The Beatles as the only artists to replace their own songs at #1 (‘In My Feelings’ replaces ‘Nice For What’) on the Hot 100 on two separate occasions.
Scorpion is spending its second week at number 1 with sales of 335k.
