When a lot of people are turning against Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent seems to be rooting for her. Well, at least for her song ‘Barbie Dreams’ which was inspired by The Notorious B.I.G.’s ‘Dreams‘ and 50 Cent’s classic ‘How To Rob‘.
50 is of course one of the rappers that Nicki mentions on her Queen cut and she made it clear to those that didn’t understand that it’s not a diss but actually a shout out to all the people in the industry she likes. “I tried to f*ck 50 for a powerful hour, all the n*gga wanna do is talk POWER for hours,” she raps on the song.
During an interview with Extra TV in Hollywood a couple of days ago, 50 spoke on the record and shouts out Nicki for standing up in a male dominated industry. Watch it below. Nicki also performed ‘Barbie Dreams’ at the MTV VMAs on Monday.
