Teairra Mari’s attempt at holding 50 Cent responsible for spreading of her sexually graphic video has been dismissed by the Court.
The singer had sued 50 Cent and her ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad, accusing them of engaging in a plan to sexually objectify, intimidate, humiliate and degrade her with the video which showed her performing a sexual act on her ex-boyfriend. She claimed Abdul-Ahad hacked her Instagram account and posted the clip online as a revenge plot following their breakup.
After she removed the video, Mari said that 50 re-posted it on his Instagram account with the caption, “get the strap,” thereby helping it spread even more. 50 denied the allegations and claimed that by the time he posted the image, it had already gone viral on social media.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a judge has dismissed Teairra’s case and ordered the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star to pay $30,618 to 50 Cent to cover his legal fees. The rapper was originally asking her to pay up $161,660 to cover his legal bill from the case.
