Previous story:
This past Friday, R&B singer Khalid released his sophomore album Free Spirit featuring limited guest appearances from Safe and John Mayer.
The first week sales projections are now in. The set is on course to move 145-165k copies in the first week which proves he’s one of the biggest artists of his generation in the genre at the moment. About 50-65k out of the total is expected to come from pure sales and a major portion of that is from a ticket bundle he’s selling, reports HDD. With these numbers, Khalid should be able to score his first number 1 album.
Nipsey Hussle’s debut album Victory Lap released a year ago is projected to move about 60k this week, a major bump in wake of his unfortunate passing last week.
