Earlier this year at Coachella, Virgil Abloh previewed a new collaboration between Swae Lee and Drake called ‘Won’t Be Late’. He later played it in a club in Ibiza and on radio in the UK where he told the story of the song. He said that he wanted to make a record that told the story of Ibiza and this was what came of it. It sounded like a potential big smash for the summer but it never came out, so we assumed it never would.
But not long ago, Mike WiLL Made-It took to Instagram to share that he was in a meeting with a bunch of Interscope executives to discuss Swae Lee. In the picture is a paper and at the top, two songs are listed. One is a solo record and the other is this Drake collaboration. The caption of the photo is “THIS WEEK” so it looks like we could be getting the song this Friday.

That also aligns with what Swae Lee tweeted about a week ago, saying August would be an exciting month.

Recently, Drake has also teased collaborations with Young Thug (who drops his album this Friday) and Playboi Carti so we have those features to look forward to too.
