Rob Markman has been dropping a song each on 1st and 15th of every month, with the last one ‘Things On My Mind Freestyle‘ coming on the first day of July.
Right on time, the Genius journalist and rapper is back with another new song, ‘Play in The Rain’ which is produced by BurnsBeats. He explains the lyrics on the heartfelt verse through Genius:
“Survivor’s remorse is a tough thing. After I started living the life that me and my friends dreamed of when we were kids, there was this yearn to create opportunities for everyone, especially the friends who were into street activities. For a variety of reasons it doesn’t work out. Some people don’t want your reality, or sometimes you just run out of time and aren’t able to set things up before it’s too late. This whole verse is based on a true relationship and my feelings of regret after losing an old friend.
I thought it was just powerful to just start it off and say I loved you.”
