Yonkers trio The LOX are back at it but this time around the three come together for a new track that will live on Sheek’s Beast Mode 4 album. The project will be released this Friday on streaming services. With help from Shadow Mobb’s Whispers and production from DJ Uneek, ‘Saint Ides Flow’ serves as the LP’s second single.
The track takes a spin of Tha Dogg Pound’s ‘New York New York’ single which lived on the group’s 1995 debut Dogg Food, one of my favorite albums. The track pays homage to Notorious B.I.G who had the DJ Pooh production originally, before the West Coat collective gained the rights to use it for their lead single. You can hear the track below and check back Friday for the full project that will come with features from Fame, Ghostface Killah, Tony Moxberg and more.
