Afrobeats star Davido has released his new album A Better Time Today.
The new album was not planned but Davido decided to create it once she found himself spending a lot of time at home due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 17 song set is executive produced by Davido and his son Ifeanyi Adeleke, and features guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Nas, Chris Brown, Young Thug and more.
“One thing about Africans—rich or poor, happy or sad, is that no matter what the situation going on in your country, you always find a reason to smile and just be happy,” he said about the release. “We [African people] always like to celebrate and A Better Time is that outlet to be free, be happy and hopeful for a better future.”
An unfinished version of the Nicki Minaj assisted ‘Holy Ground’ surfaced earlier this week on the internet but fans will be happy to hear the final product today. Stream the album below.
