Just like that, we’re back with one more edition of Saturday Spotlight. Every week we pick two artists we feel are ready to take the next steps in their exciting careers. This week was filled with top-notch, quality submissions that made picking quite difficult. The uniqueness in an artist’s personality shining through their music is the key to success. Peep our picks below.
All upcoming artists can submit music to us for Saturday Spotlight on this link.
MXSFIT
“Florida Water” is the latest single from Mxsfit. Over an icy production, Mxsfit explores his adoration for blue hundreds, comparing it to the crystal-blue waters of Florida. Inspired by the Atlanta rap scene, the Texas-born artist sports the ability to hook listeners in with his loose, laid-back delivery over monotonous vocals. “Florida Water” is the result of a plan going in Mxsfit’s favor, flexing the frills of early success while opening the door for more. Check out his single below:
Swim
Born and raised in Long Island, New York; Swim is entering the scene with “90’s Baby”, his latest single. The track features a heavy Trap beat with booming bass and looping distorted synths to increase its intensity. Swim’s flow is unique, filled with swagger and finesse. His vocals are the product of NYC rap heavyweights of the 90s leaving the streets dusted with China white. Check out Swim’s latest single below:
