NPR Tiny Desk Concert has scored another win by having the legendary Isley Brothers for their latest edition.
Shot at their home studio in St. Louis, Mo., Ronald and his brother Ernie perform four of their biggest songs: ‘Between the Sheets’, ‘Footsteps in the Dark’, ‘For the Love of You’ and ‘That Lady’ which have reportedly been sampled or covered by over three hundred artists.
The duo along with the band and backup singers kick things off with 1983’s ‘Between the Sheets’ where they give a shout out to Biggie: “I like it when you call me Big Poppa.” Watch their full set below.
