It looks like Silk Sonic has had a change of plans.
In an interview with Rollingstone back in August, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak mentioned that they are pushing their album An evening with Silk Sonic back to January 2022. They said they wanted each track to breathe a bit before offering a full project.
“We’re really in touch-up mode now,” Bruno said. “We’ve got the bones of most of the album, so it’s really about touching up parts that need a little more.. grease.”

But they have dropped the surprise news today that the album will be out on November 12th. In the tweet, a collaboration with Bootsy Collins has also been teased. The date is interesting because it’s the same day Taylor Swift releases her next album Red (Taylor’s Version), automatically making it a tough battle for the number 1 spot.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak dropped their latest single ‘Skate‘ back in July which didn’t perform as well as the first one, ‘Leave The Door Open‘.
