Welcome back to another edition of Saturday Spotlight. Each week we review submissions from all over the globe, picking the best out of the batch to highlight at the end of the week. If you’re an aspiring rapper, a producer wanting to create a buzz, or a singer looking to expose their talent, Saturday Spotlight is dedicated to discovering the next star. This week, we received over 60 submissions, below are the two picks!
Whether it’s your latest single or a new beat you made, all upcoming artists can submit music to us for Saturday Spotlight on this link.
The C!rcle
Globally-based Sudanese collective The C!rcle are four talented artists, diverse in their own right, who come together to create modern, yet timeless tracks. Often touching upon deeper, more personal subject matter in their work, their latest single has them exploring the abstract concept of ‘distance’ through the lens of their respective experiences. With thoughtful verses by Aidyproof, AKA Keyz, and Eaz Da Bully, as well as an earworm hook and bridge by G-SALIH, the four artists demonstrate the delicate skill of enmeshing four different styles cohesively into one track.

Tspokes
South California native Tspokes is a rapper whose energy and sonic aura ooze West Coast. With a bouncy cadence, confident delivery, wavy flow, and intelligent lyricism, the rapper is sure to be an artist to watch. Her latest single, ‘Tell A Friend’, is a track jam-packed with braggadocious bars, radiating star-like confidence with the talent to back it up. Snappy visuals shot and edited by akaBeto do ‘Tell A Friend’ justice by mirroring the spontaneous and well-crafted aura of Tspokes’ delivery.
