Since entering the streaming scene in the mid-2010s, TIDAL has always tried to push things forward and today, they do the same thing. TIDAL have announced that it’s launching Music School, which they’re calling “a new learning hub to provide subscribers with captivating playlists inspired by unique genres and geographic locations”.
Essentially, they’ve launched a bunch of playlists that allow their subscribers to brush up on their music knowledge and dive into new genres much easier. For example, their Hip-Hop For Beginners playlist includes ‘Juicy’ by Biggie and ‘A Milli’ by Lil Wayne. They also have introductions to different geographical locations, which is always handy, especially with the way music is going. There are playlists for introductions to Canada, Brazil, Sweden, Wales, Poland and many, many more countries.
On top of locations and genres, the new hub has specific playlists for instruments, styles like chopped & screwed and a dedicated section for introducing kids to various genres.
This is a great idea and we wouldn’t be surprised to see different streaming giants take note. Check out an MPC playlist below.
