LL Cool J has been hyping up his upcoming new album which is produced by Q-Tip for quite some time now.
Now in series of tweets — a few of which were deleted — the rapper says he is no longer releasing it. LL last spoke about the LP during a red carpet interview at the GRAMMYs with E! News earlier this month. “I know all the tricks. I got this covered. Look, it was executive produced by Q-Tip. The album I think is really, really special. I think it’s something it’s modern without chasing. It’s a whole new thing. I can’t wait for the people to see it,” he said.
“I think honestly and sincerely that Q-Tip as a producer is unbelievable and what he did on this record for me, I think is amazing. So the world will decide.”

The rap legend first tweeted that he’s “trying to figure this album out.” He then said he isn’t sure if this album is “worthy of being released” followed by “I tried.” Finally, he announced that he’s not dropping it.
Not dropping it.

Interestingly, he later deleted both tweets but left the “not dropping it” one on his account. He didn’t detail the reason for canceling the release any further.
