UPDATE: (March 26): The album is now expected to move 235k copies in the first week.
Previous story:
Future and Metro Boomin’s new album We Don’t Trust You has no doubt been talk of the town.
That is partially due to a scathing verse that Kendrick Lamar delivers on track 6 ‘Like That’ where he takes shots at Drake and J. Cole, saying there’s no big 3 and that he’s the only big one. Since then, social media has been discussing and deciphering the verse like no tomorrow.
The song has a strong chance of debuting inside top 3 of Hot 100 next week but how’s the album doing overall? HDD reports that We Don’t Trust You is projected to move 190-220k copies in the first week which will be more than enough for a number 1 debut on the Billboard 200 chart.
Spotify also announced that the album became the platform’s most streamed album in a single day in 2024.
