CrasH Talk was a great album, but ScHoolboy Q had clearly set the bar incredibly high with his previous effort, Blank Face LP. The reception to his last album wasn’t as warm as the others, but he’s made it clear he’s aware of the criticism and has seemed to take it in stride.
Nearly five years later, the TDE rapper is back with his sixth solo studio effort, Blue Lips. The campaign for this one since its announcement has been fun. Q has been dropping parts of songs with music videos online, but hasn’t put out a full song or single in the more traditional sense.
Appearing on this new album are fellow TDE members Lance Skiiiwalker and Ab-Soul, along with outside guest spots from Freddie Gibbs, Childish Major and more.
