Lupe Fiasco revealed at Coachella that he would be putting out his new album Samurai in the summer. It’s an album that hardcore fans are somewhat familiar with, with Lupe teasing it a few times over the years.
The concept is partly about a battle rapper and Lupe is calling it a personal album which is partly from his own perspective and partly from a character’s. The album drops June 28th.
Before it’s out soon, Lupe has put out ‘Samurai’, the title track from the album along with its official music video. Lupe has already dropped music a couple of times this year. Listen to ‘LLC‘ and ‘Indio‘. Neither of them appear on the 8-track LP.
