Gucci Mane has a special announcement to make.
The veteran Atlanta rapper took to Instagram and told the world that he’s dropping every artist on his 1017 label except two: Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano. Gucci said he took the decision after going through the revenue reports for his label yesterday ie. how much each artist is making and recouping.
Artists on Gucci’s label have had a hard time with some even passing away in the past few years. Texas artist Enchanting died this year in June; Big Scarr died at the age of 22 after suffering from a drug overdose in December 2022; Hotboy Wes was arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison in January 2024 for multiple felony counts; Roboy arrested in March 2022 for multiple charges in Florida, including burglary and having a concealed weapon; Hoodrich Pablo Juan was sentenced to 15 years in 2022.

Check out Gucci’s PSA below. Both Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano haven’t released any music this year. The latter was sentenced to five years in prison in 2021 for a probation violation.
