In just over an hour, SZA is going to take the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show as Kendrick Lamar’s special guest. This comes before their stadium tour. To take full advantage of the moment, the singer has put out what is essentially a deluxe version of LANA, which is the deluxe version of her last album SOS. It’s complicated, but fans are getting four new records out of nowhere from an artist who seems to wish she could release music more consistently, so there’ll likely be few complaints.
The four new songs are ‘Joni’ with Don Toliver, ‘Take You Down’, ‘Open Arms’ and ‘PSA’. Perhaps this kind of drop is something we can expect more of now that SZA has parted ways with ex-manager Punch.
