There’s an F1 movie round the corner, and you best believe Doja Cat and Don Toliver have graced the soundtrack together. Yes you heard that right — the two have linked up as part of the F1 soundtrack experience and released their latest collaboration, ‘Lose My Mind’.
The song comes with an exciting set of visuals, with CGI driven creativity being a central force for the project. It perfectly encapsulates the experience of a fast moving lifestyle, brought to life by F1 cars that go in and out of a bare-bones animated structure. The lights too, in an array of colors, light up the frames to make the video a visual treat to be remembered.
On the sonic front, Toliver has made good use of auto tune driven melodic motifs, granting the song a futuristic approach. The track could very well even be plugged into a Transformers movie, and is reminiscent of a few Linkin Park vocal processing techniques — if that isn’t a stretch!
Matter of fact, a certain frame seems to even be a shout to Miley Cyrus’s wrecking ball video, with Doja recreating the pop moment in her own flavor.
