In the spring of 2023, it was announced that Rihanna would be voicing Smurfette in an upcoming Smurfs movie. That movie will be out on July 18th and tonight, fans of Rihanna’s music that have been starving for new music for years are getting fed.
As part of the soundtrack for the movie, Rihanna drops a new song called ‘Friend Of Mine’. It’s not the new music drop from Rih that we’ve been waiting for, but beggars can’t be choosers.
In terms of her own music, we’re not expecting anything anytime soon seeing as though the singer recently announced her and A$AP Rocky’s third pregnancy. Plus last year, to the dismay of millions worldwide, she announced that she was starting her album over.
