Latto has made multiple announcements with a single post that ties it all together: a photograph of her with a big baby-bump, which happens to be the cover art for her upcoming album titled Big Mama. The project comes out on May 29, and will feature a pregnant Latto holding a baby cheetah in her hands!
The rapper-singer has also released a new song to celebrate the announcement. It’s called ‘Business & Personal,’ and is supposed to be the intro track set to open the album. The song comes accompanied by a music video, where Latto reflects back on her life and how she took on the challenge to make it big for her family.
The entire thing is a heartwarming juxtaposition of her own childhood via old footage, mixed with her present reality as someone who is about to become a mother. With Chanel umbrellas, fancy cars and a simple act of painting and connecting with her inner child, the video brings parts of Latto’s world together both poetically and luxuriously.
