Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ‘Can’t Hold Us‘ can be heard everywhere right now — TV, commercials and radio being some of the outlets. The single went platinum a couple of weeks ago but this week, the Seattle group has made Billboard Hot 100 record by becoming the first duo in the chart’s five-decade history to send its first two singles (‘Thrift Shop’ being the first) to number 1.
In addition to topping Hot 100, the single sold 262,000 copies this week and also racks a third week at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Congrats to the two!
Catch them on their world tour kicking off in London on September 9th.
