[Saturday Spotlight] – Chox-Mak + KR

Good afternoon HHNM readers, hope you guys had a great week. Per tradition, we’re back with a brand new Saturday Spotlight this week and I’m very excited about our selections. First up is Chox-Mak with a very passionate song that has been on repeat ever since I got the submission. After that is a rising artist from Cali named KR, who has been making a ton of noise since last being featured on our Saturday Spotlight. Hope you enjoy!

Chox-Mak

Reigning from Jacksonville, NC, we have the passionate storyteller Chox-Mak, who dropped off his heartfelt track ‘Yourself’. As soon as the beat hits and as soon as you hear the chorus, you won’t want to turn this off. Chox-Mak grabbed assistance from Jus Daze for the 2nd verse, and DR. G for the uplifting instrumental. I appreciate these kinds of tracks because all of our favorite stars were sitting in their basements at some point, trying to figure it all out. Chox seems like that kind of artist and he certainly has the passion to make it happen. Enjoy this inspiration below and keep an eye out for Chox.

KR

18 year old emcee KR resides on the Left Coast, and has gained a ton of popularity since we last posted him on our Saturday Spotlight. KR returns to HHNM with his brand new video ‘Mental Thoughts’ off of his recent project I$0lyf3 2. Nelson Moran captures the passionate rhyme spitter in the streets of LA in this smooth new cut. KR’s lyricism is as on point as ever, but it’s his transition from singing to rapping that makes this song/video worth checking out. I see a lot of Kendrick in him as well.
