The legendary Prince is on the cover of June issue of Essence magazine, sporting his funky afro and colorful guitar . In a rare interview ahead of his headline performance at the 20th anniversary Essence Festival during the 4th of July weekend, the Purple One has discussed new music, his band former The Revolution, his secret to success and more.
The issue will hit news stands on May 9th. Prince is set to release a new album and a deluxe 30th anniversary edition of his 1984, multi platinum soundtrack to Purple Rain under a new contract with Warner Bros. Records.
