Earlier today (Dec. 17), a video surfaced of CeeLo being victim of a cell phone exploding right near his face while he’s talking to someone on the device. It was allegedly a CCTV footage which showed CeeLo getting knocked out of his chair immediately after the explosion.
Fans on social media became very concerned about the shocking video, as there was no confirmation if the video was real and if the artist was doing fine. But CeeLo has now taken to Facebook to confirm that the video was staged and that he’s doing absolutely fine. “I just want to let everybody know that I am alive, and I’m well and I’m OK,” CeeLo said in the clip. “Truthfully, I’m really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today… I just want to thank everybody for their love and support and concern,” he continued.
CeeLo said that the video was a part of an upcoming project that he’s doing titled Gnarly Davidson. Earlier this year, he had described the project to be similar to Gnarls Barkley but as a solo artist this time. Watch CeeLo’s message on FB below.
