Wale was originally supposed to release his new album on May 5th, the same day fellow Maryland native Logic releases Everybody but last night at the GENIUS listening session hosted by Rob Markman, the vibes were so good Wale decided to push the album forward and release it tonight instead, one week early.
SHINE is the rapper’s fifth studio album and the follow up to 2015’s The Album About Nothing. Wale has said that he wants this project to feel different from his others and it was all created “in the moment”. He also wanted to have more guests than usual on this so SHINE features Lil Wayne, G-Eazy, Travis Scott, Chris Brown and more.
The album is finally available to stream now.
