Nelly can breathe a sign of relief as the alleged rape case against him has been dropped by prosecutors. Back in October, a woman had claimed that she was raped on the rapper’s tour bus in Washington where he had been performing as part of tour with Country-Pop duo Florida Georgia Line.
Nelly had denied the charges, saying he was beyond shocked that he was targeted with this false allegation. Terming it victimization, the rapper had promised that he would pursue every legal option to address the “defaming claim.” The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office tell TMZ that the alleged victim’s refusal to cooperate with the process made it impossible for them to go forward with charging Nelly with any crime. Her attorney had previously said the pressure of accusing a star like Nelly was just too much for her client and hence she was reluctant in taking the case further.
Nelly will be back on the road in March for an extensive Canada tour, the dates for which you can peep below.
