French Montana had lost a lawsuit against Waka Flocka’s mother, rap manager Debra Antney last year which pretty much went unnoticed by the general public. The suit alleged that French was a client of hers but he struck deals and collected money behind her back. Deb is a veteran manager in the Atlanta Hip-Hop scene who has worked with artists like Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj and of course, French Montana.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Antney’s company, Mizay Entertainment won a $1,999,588.41 judgment against the rapper in 2017 and she then filed a sister state judgment which allows the company to collect the money in the state of California.
Antney won her lawsuit against French in 2017 for a whopping $1,864,012.50 and was subsequently awarded $135,140.91 more for interest when the final judgment was entered in January this year. Based on the court documents, it seems like French never contested the lawsuit.
