Tekashi 6ix9ine Aiming to Be Free by Next Year After Plea Deal with Feds

As reported earlier, Tekashi 6ix9ine has entered a plea deal with New York courts in order to significantly down bring his 47 year sentence.

The condition is that he must co-operate with enforcement agencies by disclosing all information of his and his associates’ illegal activities to the US Attorney’s Office, provide them with any document they request and testify before the Grand Jury or at any trial about the said activities. The 22-year-old rapper born Daniel Hernandez, was facing more than four decades in prison on nine federal charges including racketeering, conspiracy, and narcotics trafficking.

The court document, which can be viewed in full here, also says Hernandez needs to “bring to the Office’s attention all crimes which he has committed; and that he shall commit no further crimes”. As a result of this, his previous 47-year-minimum sentence could be reduced to under a year and considering that he entered the plea on Jan. 23rd, it is possible that he could be free by early next year. The federal judge will determine the terms of 6ix9ine’s sentencing on Jan 24th, 2020. “Should the defendant successfully cooperate, the government agrees that it will file at the time of sentencing a motion …for a sentence below any mandatory minimum,” the plea deal reads.

In his guilty plea, he had admitted to have taken part in gang activities and paying an associate to shoot Chief Keef as well as selling heroin. “I apologise to the Court, to anyone who was hurt, to my family, friends and fans for what I have done and who I have let down,” he admitted in the court.
