New Baby Alert!
After 35 illustrious years in the Hip Hop, known for creating signature catchphrases like “What’s My Favorite Word” and classic hits like “Freaky Tales” and “Blow The Whistle,” Oakland-based rapper Too Short transitions into fatherhood. Today, reports reveal, the 53-year-old veteran is now a first-time father of a precious newborn daughter.
TMZ broke the news Monday morning (Sept.30), reporting the Bay Area icon will be filming a documentary about raising daughters in Hollywood, alongside his manager David Weintraub and Hit-making R&B singer Ray J.
Too Short’s newborn is named Yanni Shaw. Yanni is the first child of Too Short (born Todd Shaw) and on-again, off-again long-time girlfriend Sue Ivey. The two’s nine-month-old princess was born back in December.
No official word on the documentary and film release date at press time.
Too Short’s latest album, The Pimp Tape (Dangerous Music/EMPIRE), is available now on all major streaming platforms.
