Waka Flocka Flame has received an honorable doctorate degree in Philanthropy and Humanitarianism.
The ceremony took place in New York City on Saturday (Oct. 3) where he was joined by close friends and family. Although The Rapper himself has not shared any images on his main TuInstagram account, he did share a few stories capturing the prestigious moment. See a video clip below.
His wife, Tammy Rivera also shared a photo on Sunday of Dr. Waka Flocka holding his diploma while wearing his graduation gown. “Proud of you,” she said in the caption. His daughter was present at the ceremony too and the three shared a photo of them together at the graduation.
Waka has been been recognized for his charity work over the years. In May this year, Waka said he was dedicating his life to mental health advocacy and suicide prevention. “I’m officially dedicating my life to suicide prevention and mental illness!!!” he tweeted. “Y’all not alone Waka Flocka Flame is with y’all now!!!!”
