After recording projects with Saigon and Termanology in one day each, Statik Selektah is now teaming up with Freeway for the same drill.
“Statik hit me with the idea last night (January 5),” Freeway told XXL. “And I got back at him this morning and it’s a go. We came up with the name and everything this morning.”
The 6-7 song EP will be recorded in Statik’s Showoff Basement on Monday January 10, then released for retail on iTunes the very next day. Not only will the duo complete the project in 24 hours time they will also broadcast the recording session live on XXL’s official UStream page and XXLMag.com at 5 p.m. on Monday January 10. “I’m just gonna run through beats and we’re just gonna let the listeners get involved and come up with a hook or a concept for songs and help pick the beats for Free to rap too,”
