Last night, Drake headlined the New Look Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park in north London after missing the show last year due to illness. Kanye had to step in and perform on both nights to make it up for his absence.
But Drizzy surprised the Wireless audience when he announced on stage that he wants to bring his OVO Fest to the UK. He told fans:
“I have this feeling – I have this urge – that I need to bring this thing I’ve got called OVO fest to London. If this is the loudest crowd, I promise you: we’ve got an OVO fest London on the way. Last year, I had some complications – you know, I couldn’t make it over here. That sh*t broke my heart. So that’s why I want to do this year.”
Drake will be headlining the Wireless fest again on Friday while his OVO Fest goes down in his hometown of Toronto from August 1 to 3, 2015.
