Everyone is still talking about how amazing Kendrick Lamar’s new album DAMN. is — including us. He came out of no where with his single and music video ‘HUMBLE‘ two weeks ago which immediately went viral. The Mike WiLL Made It-produced track is currently placed at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
But K.Dot and his labels TDE/Aftermath/Interscope seem to be now ready to push the next single from DAMN. which will be the Rihanna-featured standout cut ‘LOYALTY.’ It is produced by DJ Dahi, Terrace Martin and SounWave. DJ Dahi is also featured on the pre-chorus vocals (“I said I’m geeked and I’m fired up..”) while the entire song contains a reverse sample of intro from Bruno Mars’ hit ‘24k Magic‘.
‘LOYALTY.’ has been sent to both Rhythmic and Pop radio this week but only time will tell if it ends up being a success. Rihanna was one of the attendees at the Compton rapper’s Coachella set this past weekend where she was also captured on video going crazy to ‘HUMBLE.’ (watch footage below). Yesterday, Kendrick released an intense video for his song ‘DNA.’
