The second season of the Netflix series, The Get Down is underway and features new music from Nas. The Queens rapper is one of the producers of the show which is set in 1970s in New York, giving an insight at the earliest days of Hip-Hop music and culture.
We managed to hear a preview of the song titled ‘Angels With Dirty Faces’ a week ago but tonight, the official soundtrack to The Get Down Pt. 2 hits digital retailers and streaming services (currently only available in select international markets), containing the full version of the smooth song in its proper quality. The song is credited to “Nasir Jones as Mr. Books,” referring to one of the characters in the show.

UPDATE: Today is like a lottery day. Here’s another new song from the rapper called ‘Systematic’ which is produced by his fellow Mass Appeal Records label mate DJ Shadow. It was premiered by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 a little while ago.
