Nas released his latest album Nasir last month and although it was produced entirely by Kanye West, it did not resonate with fans as much as he would have liked. So Nas is heading back to the studio to finish up another new album.
iHeart Radio did a special Q&A with the Queens legend earlier tonight (Thursday) in New York which was hosted by radio veteran Angie Martinez. During the session, Nas revealed that he’s working on another new album which will be out very soon. “I’m finishing up the next one,” Nas said when someone in the audience asked if we will get to hear more music from him. “No it’s not gonna be that long because half of it was already done,” he answered Angie.
Nas revealed that he had already recorded a significant part of it when they decided to go with the Kanye West produced set which was one of the 5 albums in the G.O.O.D. Music rollout. “I did something with Swizz, I did something with RZA, I’m a huge Wu-Tang fan,” he continued. Watch it below.
