Desi Hits! had the great privilege of visiting T.I. in his Atlanta studio a month prior to his incarceration. He welcomed us into his home away from home as if we were family. During this time, T.I. was excited to learn about Desi culture – especially our music! We brought along talented singer and musician Vishal Vaid to educate T.I. on some of India’s cornerstone instruments and sounds. Watch this amazingly candid episode where we bring a taste of Indian music to this grammy-winning rapper.
So TIP keeps it Desi while he gets schooled to traditional Indian instruments like the Tabla and the Harmonium. Fun Fact: I know how to play the first one.
