It’s official. After a hard hitting campaign that included Grammys, SXSW and Saturday Night Live, Justin Timberlake’s 3rd and comeback album The 20/20 Experience will debut at the number 1 position on Billboard charts this week with over 980k copies sold.
The official Soundscan numbers are yet to arrive but don’t expect too much variation from those of Hits Daily Double. This marks the fifth-biggest debut of this decade, behind only two Taylor Swift albums (1.2m, 1.05m) and one each from Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne (1.1m, 964k). JT’s total would also be the highest figure for a male artist since Lil Wayne sold 964k for Tha Carter IV in September 2011. Congrats!
